Henry Struck's 1937 Benny Boxcar in 47 inch span
The
first fuselage frame has been assembled, and assembly of the second
side is in progress on top of it with clear wrap between the sides.
Leave the lower longeron long in front. Alignment of the front vertical is important as it sets the angle of the firewall.
The upper frame part overhangs the front vertical as well, by 3/32".
Fitting the short length of 3/16"
square balsa that spaces the aft fuselage. It is recessed forward
3/32" to allow the fit of the fin spar aft of it.
Joining the fuselage at the aft end.
Once the back end is tacked together, fit the firewall.
