Kevlar
thread is used for a pull pull rudder setup. Spectra wire
also is
good and is available at fishing supply stores. Kevlar is
available
from
industrial sewing thread suppliers. Multiple square knots are
tied and then glued with thin CA at this end. Loops are also
formed
at the rudder end and the final attachment is with loops of fine wire
twisting the free ends of the wire to tighten the loops
and
establish tension to trim the rudder at neutral with the servo powered
up at
neutral. It is easier to do the
loops on the servo arm before
the
arm is on the servo when your fingers are as big as mine. I
do this before the fuselage
is covered and then leave the Kevlar
long,
pulling it through the exit points on the aft fuselage while
I am covering. After the covering is
done I do the rudder end attachments.
Windscreen
and front rubber band post. Also in view is an adapter plate
I
made on my firewall allowing different power arrangements.
The
ply
plate attached to the firewall with screws and nutplates.
There
are embedded nut plates in the ply plate for the Cox mounting
screws
which are short enough to not reach the firewall.
An
ounce or so of weight is in the nose.
