Joe Elgin 80 inch design

The front of the stabilizer spar has been beveled on the front face for clearance as the elevator moves down.  The pivot point will be near the top of the elevator.
Clearance for the stabilizer carbon fiber join rod has been routed into the surface of the elevator and the stabilizer.  No strength is needed on that part of the
stabilizer as it rests on the fuselage.  The carbon rod is secured to the elevator with thick CA.  Everything was still pinned down in place when the rod was glued.

Starting the fuselage side frames

Cutting the crossmembers and verticals using the chart on the plan and a digital caliper.  The cut parts tend to fly around so they are stuck to painters tape to keep them
un-lost and in order.  The saw is from UMM USA ( http://umm-usa.com/onlinestore/product_info.php?cPath=21_28&products_id=35 )and is very thin and sharp.
The thinness results in very little kerf and very good accuracy

First sideframe completed.
