The
vacform canopy was very clear. I posed it closed to highlight the
shape of the P-51H, which was not at all the same as the earlier
Mustangs. The planform,
airfoil section, and fuselage shape are all different. More
in common with the F-82. The wing and stabilizer were both one
piece, and the vertical
fin
was combined with the upper rear fuselage. Not a bad way to do it
in resin. The radiator housing was also a separate part.
I hollowed out the
inlet
to improve the look. The red commander's stripes were supplied in
decal form, but I masked and painted them. SNJ and Tamiya paints
were used.
