Spitfire arrives at the Secret Workshop!
Burscough,West Lancashire, England, UK  The CAG!  Darren McGuinness  (Tango 1)

Thanks to Michael we have a very fine report and conclusion to this great and somewhat extended Odyssey.  All's well that ends well, and it surely has!

Hi everyone,

Darren is a very happy chap, he was pretty speechless and 'gobsmacked'. Spent a very pleasant few hours with him in the 'Secret Workshop'

A series of pictures of the great moments:

Bye the bye, Michael, Y'all did get the exact GPS coordinates for that Secret Workshop, did you not??!!

Thank you! All of you!

I wanted to say some  words to thank you for the marvellous Spitfire Mk.IX all of you have worked on and presented to me. I shall treasure this wonderful
gift for the rest of my days.

When Mike first got in touch with me I was unsure as to what was going on, he later hinted that this was a gift from all of you and that it was
going to be good! He wouldn’t tell me anymore than that as it would ruin a great surprise.........

When I opened the box this afternoon I was amazed at the beautiful model before me marked with my name!  It is an incredible build,
exquisite detailing, superbly painted and finished. I absolutely love it! I was stunned, knocked sideways, totally floored!

For the first time in my life I have a real masterpiece in my collection. For all of you to come together and accomplish such a fantastic build with the
time, effort and logistics involved is a true credit to you all. I want each and every one of you to know I really appreciate it. ( I know how much work
this model takes just for one man as I am currently building one myself!)  It is just possible that this Spitfire has clocked up more miles than any other in the world!

Being part of the FAA Group Build has brought me so many things in this life that I never expected. I have made great  friends with some
truly amazing and talented people. I was part of a GB that good people really enjoyed and made better with each contribution. The camaraderie,
the builds and the laughs made our Group Build something unique and very special that has brought us all together.

I am very humbled by your gift and feel that I do not deserve such kindness, I am truly touched that you all thought I did and I will never forget that.
You are a remarkable group and I am honoured to have been, in my small part your CAG on our GB pages all those years ago.

I have always wanted a Spitfire with my name on it and you all went the extra mile(s) and made it happen and you did it with breathtaking excellence!
You have made me happier than you will ever know and I will remember today forever.

I loved all of your messages on the box lid and the gifts inside, what a journey you have all been on! I hope it was a good one and that you are all
rightly proud of what you have accomplished.

I am so proud of what you have done for me and very touched by your generosity.
I will never forget the men of FAAGB and what they gave me, in every sense of the word. Most of all, I will enjoy one of the most wonderful gifts
that I have ever had the pleasure to receive.

Thank you!

CAG.
