3/19 Hi John,
Slow progress, I had a rotten start to the year I'm afraid, but things are back on track now.
Spitfire is back on the bench along with an Airfix Swordfish which I started in order to get back up to speed. Canopy has had the seam polished out and has been dipped in Future and is now masked for paint, I'm re-doing the exhausts as one had gone missing and Jason had kindly replaced it with one of his own kits pieces. I've masked for doing the wing leading edges and then I can start with the decals, speaking of decals do I need to do anything differently with the ones you printed or will they behave as normal?
I'll get some pictures to you asap.

Decals arrived on Saturday so all is well, having a bit of trouble with wing roundels but will get sorted.

(This is in regard to the MC G decals, apparently I had left the white undercoat a little large and it was showing on the edges, so I corrected them and sent the new ones on. John Eaton)

I seem to be getting to grips with decals so thought I'd send you a picture.
The new codes you printed are much better, that's light on the edge of the canopy rail not a tear on the 'M'

Thought I'd send you a little progress report, you can pass it on to everyone if you like.

All major decals are done now so will turn attention to painting the fuselage band and applying stencils. I've redone the exhaust stacks as one had been lost, Richie (or was it Jason) kindly donated a new one, I did the lot so they'd match. The canopy is painted so I'll make sure all is in place in the cockpit before I glue it in place. need to fix the flap which was loose in the box and whilst doing this I will get the undercarriage done and then we should be almost finished.... yayyyyyyyyyy!!!!

Pictures above and I will send more soon. I hope to have her sorted in a few weeks.

I need to get back to Richie as he still needs to send me a small missing part he forgot to put in the box.

Hi everyone,

Sending you all a few pictures of the Spitfire, almost done now, just needing a spare flap as the original is down under. Painting is all done as are the decals, few little bits to stick on at the very end.
Sorry for the poor pictures, light is a little off this morning.

Well I think the Spitfire is all done! I'm going to wait for some good light at the weekend and get some decent pictures sorted. I will contact Darren to arrange delivery in the next few days.
