Italeri 1/72 P-51A Index page

The Academy P-51A is a much better kit.  When I started this kit the Academy kit was not yet available.  
On this model I reshaped the wing leading edges and inboard landing gear doors.  The canopy was opened up 
and the flaps and elevators were cut away and posed in the lowered positions. The gun muzzles were replaced 
with wire from resisitors.  Academy kit decals were used, with Model Master II and some Tamiya paints
